Growing up at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains, instilled a deep sense of curiosity, respect, and admiration for nature that I carry with me wherever I go. When making, I get lost in ceramics the same way I get lost in nature. The endless elements to learn, explore and experiment with; whether it’s a new firing technique, form or glaze. And the endless elements to be inspired by; the layered pattern of waves, the color of a rock in the sun, the intricate design of coral and nests. My hope is that my work could spark that same sense of wonder, inviting you to pick up a piece and pause to appreciate the little things.
